The Sessions tab in the CMS Statistics area shows the number of sessions that have happened by how long they have been. Sessions is the time spent by one person, typically by IP address, on your entire website, not just one page. For example, if you go to Amazon and shop, you start a 'session' when you first go to Amazon.com, and once you close that tab or window, or leave their site, you end the session. All pages on Amazon.com that you have looked at (every item, cart, profile page, etc.) between first coming to Amazon's site and leaving. If someone leaves your site and comes back, that starts a new session.
Here is a description of each column:
- Session Length - This is how long the sessions are.
- Frequency - this is how many sessions in the last month have been the associated lenght of time.
- Percentage (%) - This is the percentage of sessions, or visits, that are within the associated length out of all sessions.visits.
